More often found during night dives, these awesome fish can live in depths of 0 to 913 m (0 to 2,995 ft) below sea level, but it is most common between 50 and 400 m (160 and 1,310 ft). They also have a poisonous spine that runs along their dorsal fin. Not very dangerous to humans, as they like to keep their distance from divers, they can however, cause rather serious injuries to other predators.
These beautiful fish glide through the water as if they are flying while shimmering with colours of copper, gold, green and blue. Truly a remarkable fish to see on any dive.
