Photo & Video Workshops

With a lifetime behind the camera and years spent as a technical diver, I bring a rare blend of creative vision and underwater expertise to every workshop I host.

My photography has been published in magazines, video work shared worldwide, and my passion lies in helping others capture the ocean with confidence and intention.

These workshops are designed for everyone, whether you’re picking up an underwater rig for the first time or looking to push your professional work to the next level. Together, we focus on composition, light, safety, and storytelling in some of the world’s most inspiring dive destinations.

These workshops are designed for photographers and filmmakers who want to move beyond simply taking underwater pictures and start creating intentional, powerful work beneath the surface. Blending real-world dive experience with a lifetime behind the camera, these workshops are immersive, hands-on experiences built to sharpen both your technical control and creative vision.

Whether you’re new to underwater shooting or looking to refine advanced techniques, you’ll gain the skills, confidence, and awareness needed to operate smoothly in a demanding environment and come home with images that truly reflect the depth and beauty of the ocean.

What You’ll Learn

Underwater photography and filmmaking demand far more than simply sealing a camera in a housing and descending. Beneath the surface, light fades and colour disappears with depth, movement is amplified, and even subtle changes in buoyancy can throw off your composition. You’re balancing breathing, depth, current, marine life, safety, and creative decisions all at once. It’s a layered skill set, part diver, part technician, part storyteller. That challenge is exactly what makes powerful underwater imagery so rewarding and addicting.

In my workshops, I teach the full spectrum of what it takes to thrive in that environment, from strong foundational skills to advanced technical refinement.

Beginners can learn how to manage buoyancy while shooting, control light effectively, and understand how water changes exposure and color.

More experienced shooters focus on technique, refining composition, capturing behavior over static portraits, improving efficiency underwater, and building intentional visual narratives.

The goal isn’t just to get the shot, it’s to move through the water with confidence and create work that feels deliberate, controlled, and intentional.
